My daily creates are here, here, here, and here. The comments on the blogs are located here, here, here, and here. The two assignments are here and here, and my thoughts on a particular scene are here. I didn’t feel it was particularly difficult for some portions, like recording my footage, but actually working in iMovie was a different beast. I am so used to working with Windows that working with a Mac felt incredibly challenging, since I haven’t done it in so long. I enjoyed recording footage from my time spent playing Kerbal Space Program, but I didn’t enjoy actually recording my voice for both videos. I feel like I judge myself too harshly when I am recording, even if I don’t voice it, and that nervousness seems to come out when I am recording and it’s hard to try and get that nervousness edited out. As far as cultural and societal implications, I am not sure of any at this time, besides maybe hopefully helping a new player with my how-to guide for rocket design in Kerbal Space Program. I feel like I learned a lot, particularly with video editing, though a lot of this unit I felt some elements were repeated from photography and audio – less so for design. This week I found to be the most difficult of all the weeks so far because I have never done video editing – I’ve dabbled in livestreaming on Twitch (on which I will be fundraising for Saint Jude and GuardianCon after the class ends), but never done much video editing.
